How long will it take before I can be admitted to 12&12, Inc.?

Many times, we are able to get the admissions process underway immediately and completed within 24 hours. However, at times, there is a waiting list for intensive residential treatment and transitional living programs. If so, the wait is usually two or three weeks. In order to remain on the waiting list, you must fulfill certain requirements such as making regular calls to the admissions screeners to let us know you are still interested in being admitted. We will always strive to help you admit as soon as possible.

Can I have visitors while I’m in treatment?

Residential treatment clients who have reached a certain level in their program are allowed visitors. Your counselor will inform you of these levels and when visitors are allowed (usually within the first two weeks). Visitation is Sunday, 1-5 p.m. All visitors are required to attend an orientation meeting prior to their first visitation. You will get more information about visitation guidelines during the admissions process.

How long will I be in treatment?

The recommended length of stay at can be a few weeks to a few months. The length of treatment depends on the severity of symptoms, addiction, degree of alcohol and other drug usage, and once admitted, the level of treatment progress achieved. The treatment team evaluates the needs and progress of each client, then recommends the level of care and length of stay based on those assessments and ongoing progress.

Are there people who receive admission prioritization over others?

Yes, per accreditation (and best-practices) standards, 12&12, Inc. gives admissions preference to pregnant and intravenous drug users, other pregnant alcoholics/addicts and other I.V. drug users.

What are the rooms and accommodations like?

12&12, Inc. offers supportive, community living for adult clients in modest rooms where two men or two women share a room and a private bath. Meals are provided in a community dining atmosphere. Clients are responsible for cleaning their rooms. Washers and dryers are available in a centrally located laundry room. Each program area has client lounges that include a television, DVD and study areas. Indoor and outdoor recreation areas offer a fitness room, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, and other group/recreational activities.

What can I expect to happen during each day?

A typical day in the residential programs will begin with breakfast and house duties within the facility. The first morning group education meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. Each day is filled with group and individual counseling as well as additional educational groups and classes. Weekly treatment schedules are provided upon admission. 12&12, Inc. is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
